The Continental Avenue Bridge is the newest amenity along the Trinity River.
A public-private partnership, the Continental Avenue Bridge and West Dallas Gateway are the most recent improvements to the Trinity River Corridor. Thanks to a combination of a generous donation in honor of Mary McDermott Cook and City funds, this newest amenity will offer an activity space near the Trinity River unlike any other in Dallas. Come play, enjoy nature and being outdoors at the Trinity River. This amenity offers active and passive play spaces, programmed activities and most of all, an up close view of the Trinity River, Dallas Floodway and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Lounge on the chairs, snack from one of the food trucks, play in the water, engage in a chess match or participate in one of the many fitness activities offered to visitors.
After an $8.3 million update, this charming outdoor space mixes the 1933 elegance of a historic bridge with the modern style of today's trends and colors.
